Privacy policy

Mirrorlark works on your own Wi-Fi network. We don't collect your data, track you or show you ads.

Effective November 5, 2026

In short

  • No accounts, no sign-up, no ads, no analytics and no tracking.
  • What you mirror goes straight from your iPhone or iPad to your Fire TV over your own network. It is never recorded, saved or sent to us.
  • Mirrorlark's settings stay on your Fire TV.
  • The $0.99 unlock is bought through the Amazon Appstore. Amazon handles the payment; we never see your payment details.

This policy covers the Mirrorlark app for Amazon Fire TV (package ca.exposoft.mirrorlark) and this website. Mirrorlark is made and sold by Exposoft Solutions ("we", "us").

How Mirrorlark uses your network

While Mirrorlark is open, it announces itself on your local network (using the standard Bonjour, or mDNS, service discovery that Apple devices use) so that iPhones and iPads on the same network can list it under Screen Mirroring and AirPlay. When you choose Mirrorlark, your device connects directly to the Fire TV over your local network and sends it the picture and sound to play.

What is stored on your Fire TV

To work, Mirrorlark keeps a small amount of information in its own private storage on the Fire TV. None of it is sent to us.

Mirrorlark writes error messages to the Fire TV's own system log. If you turn on Settings > Show connection details, it also logs connection details there and shows them on screen. The log stays on your Fire TV.

Uninstalling Mirrorlark, or clearing its data in the Fire TV's settings, deletes everything above. If your device has a system backup service turned on, the device may include Mirrorlark's settings in its own backup.

Purchases through the Amazon Appstore

The one-time unlock is sold through the Amazon Appstore's in-app purchasing. Amazon processes the payment and keeps the purchase record, under the Amazon Privacy Notice and the terms of your Amazon account. Mirrorlark asks the Amazon Appstore on your Fire TV for the price of the unlock and whether you have bought it, so it can restore the unlock after a reinstall or on another Fire TV signed in to the same Amazon account. Mirrorlark doesn't store your Amazon account details and we never receive your payment information. As the seller, we receive the sales reports Amazon provides to app developers.

Permissions

Mirrorlark asks for network access only, which it needs to be found by and receive streams from devices on your local network. It doesn't use your microphone, camera, location or contacts.

This website uses no cookies, analytics or tracking. Like any website, our hosting provider (Vercel) processes standard technical information, such as IP addresses, to deliver pages and keep the site secure.

Changes to this policy

If Mirrorlark's handling of information changes, we will update this page and its effective date before the change takes effect.
